Fighters from Doncaster station were last night called out to assist South Yorkshire Police who were in pursuit of a man following reports of an assault.

The man had climbed onto a roof on College Road, Doncaster, firefighters attended to help police gain access to the roof with the use of the turntable ladder.  The police were then able to safely detain the man.

This highlights the wide range of incidents the Fire and Rescue Service is called out to, including supporting the work of other blue light services.
