Adwick-le-Street is a  full time community fire station covering an area which is mainly agricultural, with large residential areas to the South and East. Adwick-le-Street covers the areas of Adwick-le-Street, Scawthorpe, Scawsby, Bentley, Carcroft, Cusworth, Brodsworth, Marr, Woodlands and Highfields.

Adwick also has a wildlife garden maintained by local school children and a community room which is available to hire.
