Farm House Fire

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue were called to an incident at a disused farm house this evening at 8:46pm on Wentworth Road, Blacker Hill in Barnsley.

Four fire appliances attended the incident from Brampton, Tankersley and Barnsley stations and found smoke issuing from the two storey building on arrival.

Firefighters used three hose reel jets to tackle the blaze.  A second smaller fire was found in a nearby barn which contained straw, this fire was quickly extinguished.

there were no casualties at the incident and fire crews left the scene at 11:47pm.
