Darnall firefighters will be welcoming local people into the station on Saturday 26th June for a fun-packed open day.

There will be a range of activities and demonstrations planned throughout the day, including:

·         Road traffic collision demonstration

·         Technical Rescue Unit (TRU) display – firefighters trained in specialist rescue techniques will be performing a demonstration

·         Chip pan fire demonstration

·         Fire Cadet demonstration

The event will be open between 10am and 4pm.

Darnall Station Manager Brian Swift said:  “This is an opportunity for our crews to engage with the local community, and for people to come along and find out a little more about how things work here at the station.  There will be plenty of activities for all the family to have a really fun day.”
