Fire is one of the main causes of accidental injury and death amongst children. On average 34 children under the age of 11 are killed in fires in the UK every year and around 1,200 are injured.

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue has developed a fire safety education programme to help increase children's and young people's awareness of the risks from fire and to help develop the skills they need to stay safe.
