Effective performance management is essential to integrate planning, review, financial management and improvement systems to enable managers to make informed decisions and improve services.

To manage its performance the Service has a dedicated Performance team, which -

• Co-ordinates the organisation's involvement in Local Area Agreements (LAAs) across South Yorkshire, working with partners and the Local Government Office
• Reports on corporate performance against the Service's objectives and targets
• Undertakes research and analysis on specific data sets or areas of interest as requested
• Undertakes day-to-day monitoring of data quality
• Undertakes the preparation and organisation of external audits, for example, Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA)

Performance Management Policy
