Open day at Rivelin station

Rivelin firefighters will be welcoming local people into the station on Saturday 31st July for a fun-packed open day.

There will be a range of activities and demonstrations planned throughout the day, including:

·         Road traffic collision demonstration

·         Technical Rescue Unit (TRU) display – firefighters trained in specialist rescue techniques will be performing a demonstration

·         Chip pan fire demonstration

·         Fire Cadets

·         Stalls & Stands from Sure Start and other local partners

The event will be open between 10am and 4pm at Rivelin Fire Station, Rivelin Valley Road, Sheffield, S6 5FE.

Rivelin Station Manager Mick Rogers said:  “The open day will be a fun day for all the family.  It will give the local people a chance to come along and to meet their local firefighters and to have a look around the Station.”
