Around 30 firefighters are in attendance at a large grassland fire in Sheffield on Saturday afternoon.
Crews from Central station were called to Carwood Grove in Pitsmoor at 4.15pm and quickly drafted in support from Elm Lane, Darnall and Mansfield Road stations. Around 500 square metres of grassland and bushes are involved in the fire, and local roads have been cordoned off.
The fire is being tackled using hose reel jets and beaters to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties.
Nobody has been injured but local residents are advised to stay indoors and keep their doors and windows closed.
